The Athens Laboratory of Research in Marketing


Welcome to the Marketing Lab website (The Athens Laboratory of Research in Marketing- A.LA.R.M.)

The Lab’s main objective is to carry research of international scope and to support high quality educational activities in subjects related to the field of Marketing.

The lab has four active research units:

  1. Marketing and Innovation Applications
  2. Customer and Sales Management
  3. Retail Marketing
  4. Services Marketing

Each unit is supported by Faculty members with relevant academic, research and consulting interests. In the Lab 13 Faculty members are actively involved in research regarding various aspects of Marketing. The research activity is demonstrated in the large number of publications in the most prestigious international Marketing journals such as: Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Journal of Personal Selling & Sales Management etc.

At the same time, the activities of the Lab include research on behalf of companies and organisations of the private and public sectors as well as educational programs and seminars for business executives.

So far more than 50 research studies have been carried out for companies and organisations such as Motodynamiki (YAMAHA), Hellenic Petroleum, Roche Hellas, EKO S.A., APIVITA Natural Products S.A., The Athens Chamber of Tradesmen, Bayer Hellas S.A. etc. In adition more than 15 educational programs have taken place for companies such as AB Vassilopoulos, Interamerican, BIC-VIOLEX S.A., Greek Railway Organisations, Public Power Corporation, Pharmaserve-Lilly, Compo Hellas S.A. etc.

The lab activities are supported by an advanced infrastructure including 15 work stations, network printers, full audiovisual facilities, as well as the appropriate research and educational software programs such as: the SPSS for data analysis, CATI for conducting surveys with the use of telephone interviews (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews), the MarkStrat simulation program etc.
