  • Green Marketing 2012
    Research: CSR, Green Marketing and the Consumer

    The Athens Laboratory of Research in Marketing (A.La.R.M.) of AUEB and the Centre for Sustainability and Excellence (CSE) recently completed thei annual research entitled 'Green Marketing': The environmental aspects of Marketing in the context of CSR" on a nationwide sample of 703 people.

    The research that takes place for the 4rth consecutive year, depicts consumers’ attitudes towards environmental aspects of Marketing, and reveals the rising awareness in public opinion on social and environmental issues. It also records the attitudes, beliefs and responses of Greek consumers towards Corporate Social Responsibility.

    A highly succesful evening was organized in Technopolis, Gazi (9.84 Radio Station Amphitheatre) , on the 23rd of May 2012 for the presentation of the results. The evening held also presentations of Green Marketing Practices from enterprises that supported the event. Meanwhile the Greenhouse Gas emissions of the event, were measured, then counterbalanced according to international criteria from CSE and acquired the certificate “climate neutral” from the non-profit Swiss organization myclimate.

    • PROFESSOR G.J. AVLONITIS won the 'LIFE ACHIEVEMENT AWARD' during the Marketing Excellence Award Ceremony, Οctober 2011

      A special prize for his long-lasting contribution was awarded to the President of the Greek Marketing Academy and Head of the Department of Marketing and Communication of the Athens University of Economics and Business, Professor George J. Avlonitis in the Marketing Excellence Awards, organized by the Hellenic Management Association and the Greek Institute of Marketing. This prize is awarded for the first time to a Marketing Academic.

    • 2nd PANHELLENIC SALES CONFERENCE, "Sales: The keystone of extraversion and innovation in the Greek Economy".

      The Greek Sales Institute in collaboration with A.La.R.M. and the ELTRUN research centre of Athens University of Economics and Business organised the 2nd Panhellenic Sales Conference at the Club Hotel Casino Loutraki, on June 27th 2011 entitled "SALES: The keystone of extraversion and innovation in the Greek Economy".

    • EXTERNAL EVALUATION of the Dpt. of Marketing & Communication, July 2010.

      The Dpt. of Marketing and Communication is the first department of the Athens University of Economics and Business and one of the first departments in the whole country that has succesfully completed its evaluation by the Hellenic Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (H.Q.A.A.). The external assessors mention in the conclusions of their report that the Department of Marketing and Communication is '...a leading Greek Institution in its field and stands well in comparison to international institutions.'
